The Computer Science Research in the United States is very important as Wm. A. Wulf, Ph.D. said. This article discuss about the usage of the Computer Science Research in the U.S. and how important it is in their government. Mr. Wm. A. Wulf, Ph.D. is the President of National Academy of Engineering and AT&T Professor of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Virginia. In this article the government said that the Computer Science Research is a expensive research, but Mr. Wulf said that the research is not expensive, in fact it is an investment. He discuss to the government that the computer science research can help our future generations, in our children. At the early decade they have made a research for the future purposes, like for example how the information technologies can help our security, prosperity and the health of the future generations. Now we are using the high technology in our security, which were made by the researchers before. Example of this high technology in security is the surveillance camera in the stores, smart bombs, GPS, unmanned robotic vehicles for surveillance, enormously enhanced training through use of virtual reality, and many more. As said above, one of the examples that CS research can help is the Prosperity. This are some factors that CS research can do in the field of prosperity, a 3% national productivity growth fueled by information technology, dozens of multi-billion dollar per year industries, internet-enabled business models, a 40-fold reduction in the cost of telephony, a global wireless phone system, etc. How CS research can help our present and future health? Medical imagery (CAT scans, etc), cochlear implants, bio-sensors, smart prosthetics, smart defibrillating pacemakers, etc., this are some of the things that CS research can help our health.
